(Eestikeelse postituse leiad siit)
When one morning our short Autumn turned into Winter, my skin decided it was not happy with it. All of a sudden it developed dry patches and everything just got strange. I wasn’t prepared. My usual night cream didn’t do the trick anymore. I started to look around and saw that Turbliss came out with a face oil. Since I have been using their products before, and I absolutely adored their body oil, (you can read review here), I decided to try this out too.
On the package it says: “Deeply moisturizing and protective. Suitable to use as a cold protection. Contains high levels of omega 3, omega 6 fatty acids, linoleic acid, and phytochemicals which keep the skin elastic and healthy. Orange and myrtle essential oils support skin structure and uplift the spirit. 100% natural.”
After I got it, I used it in the morning and in the evening for the first seven days. Of course I cleansed my face first and then applied the oil. I admit that I probably used a bit too much with one go. It actually takes half of the dropper to cover my whole face. A little really goes a long way. If you only use half of the dropper, then the oil absorbs fully into the skin.
I applied a full dropper on my skin. Some of the oil absorbed into my skin and some stayed on the surface, but it didn’t bother me at all. I actually even liked it because I didn’t have the oily feeling. The oily layer kept my skin moisturised for a few hours before fully absorbing into my skin. In the mornings it just meant that my skin was already prepared for the foundation, and I didn’t need to use any primer. In the evenings, it meant I could do my evening skin routine a few hours before bedtime while I was still energised and not a sleep deprived zombie. Let´s face it, most of us go to sleep a tad too late every day and taking makeup off in the middle of the night is an effort.
Within a few days of using the oil, I saw a turn for the better. The foundation was looking good on my skin. The dry patches I had around my jaw and temple area were gone. It was difficult to make the foundation sit right on the dry areas of my skin.
I also used the oil to add a drop of it onto my beauty blender before dipping the sponge into the foundation. It worked like an extra moisturiser when applying foundation. In some cases, depending on the foundation, it can make it separate slightly. With my foundation, I didn’t see it becoming a problem. The finish looked dewy. If you like a dewy finish, it’s great. I personally prefer matte finish so I did the following: after applying my foundation I just added powder all over my face and everything looked good. My skin was moisturised inside but matte outside.
You can also use oil as a cold protector. Just apply a bit of oil on dry skin before going outside.
The oil has a really good scent. It smells like orange, cardamom, ginger, and winter spices. If the scent would have a name, I would call it a lovely Christmas evening.
The bottle is made of dark glass with a dropper in a screw cap. The design is beautiful and christmassy. The label is red with a branch and some berries drawn on it. Overall it looks elegant and wintery. I love it.

This sounds lovely! And the scent really does remind me of Christmas. But why do they make this limited edition – poop!

Thank you! It is a lovely product 😊 I’m sad too that it’s a limited edition. Unfortunately I don’t know the reason behind it.

I have never heard of this brand, but it sounds like a lovely product. I plan on using a face oil once my current facial serum (also an oil product) runs out.

It’s an Estonian brand. All products are natural and skin friendly. They ship worldwide too, so if you are interested, you can write to them and let them know that you are interested 🙂 If you have trouble finding the email from the home page, let me know and I’ll share it with you 😊 I also reviewed their peat mask some time ago, feel free to check it out –> http://wp.me/p6XS0y-dn Face oils work for me better during cold winter and my skin gets dryer. Other times it can be too moisturising.
