Dr. Bronner´s Magic Soap review/arvustus

A few weeks back Dr. Bronner´s sent me some products to test. I had heard so many good things about their magic soaps so I thought I should give it a go too.

Mõned nädalad tagasi saatis Dr. Bronner mulle proovida mõned tooted. Ma olin kuulnud nii palju kiidusõnu nende seepide kohta, seega haarasin ma härjalt sarvist ning asusin katsetama.

In a package I found two bottles of 18-in1 Hemp Pure-Castile Soap in Lavender and Almond, and little samplers in Rose, Citrus-Orange, and Peppermint. I also received the Organic Hand and Body Lotion in Lavender and Unscented Baby-Mild Pure-Castile Soap bar.

Pakist leidsin ma kaks pudelikest 18-in-1 Hemp Pure-Castile seepi.

In the information form I saw there were eighteen different ways to use the soaps. You can wash yourself, hair, dishes, pets, makeup brushes, fruits, teeth, and you can even use them to fight with plant bugs.

Infovoldikul oli ära toodud kaheksateist erinevat viisi Dr. Bronneri seepide kasutamiseks. Tuli välja, et nende seepidega saad sa pesta ennast, juukseid, nõusid, koduloomi, meigipintsleid, puuvilju, hambaid ning isegi võidelda taimekahjuritega.

Since my brushes and sponges needed a bath, I tested the liquid soaps out right away.

Kuna mu meigipintsild vajasid pesu, asusingi ma kohe asja kallale.

I started with almond soap to wash the brushes. It did its job well. The soap had a rich foam and great scent. It said almond and it smelled like natural almonds. The brushes got clean with the first go.

To wash my makeup sponges, I used lavender liquid soap.

Meigikäsnade pesemiseks ma kasutasin lavendlilõhnalist seepi.

My hopes were really high with the lavender soap because everyone who had tried it, raved about it. Unfortunately I didn’t join them. It took three washes to consider them clean. The Beauty Blender Pro still had foundation blotches on the surface. Usually with unbranded regular soap I don’t have that kind of experience.

I tried to catch the blotch in the picture too but my camera wasn’t good enough.

Ma üritasin ka laike pildi peale saada, aga mul kaamera ei olnud piisavalt hea.

A few days and uses later I washed my makeup sponges again. This time I used the Unscented Baby-Mild Pure-Castile Soap bar. It gave better results. My makeup sponges got clean on the first go.

Mõned päevad ja meigikorrad hiljem ma pesin meigikäsnu uuesti. Sel korral ma kasutasin Unscented Baby-Mild Pure-Castile tükiseepi. Seebiga pestes olid tulemused palju paremad. Ühest pesukorrast piisas, et meigikäsnad puhtaks saaks.

  1. I did enjoy this post. I especially like the fact that the almond soap cleaned the brushes. Oh and my brushes need cleaning. The lavender with the beauty blender? I found that the best way to clean the beauty blender and other blending sponges is with baby shampoo. Keep the informative posts coming. I actually want you to do a post about pencil sharpeners for eye pencils. I can’t seem to find a decent one!!

    • Thank you! I’m glad you liked the post! 🙂 I remembered once that you suggested to clean sponges with soaps that have lavender in them. The liquid soap did a poor job with the sponge but a soap bar got it clean (and made my hands so dry). I’ve been using lately a “regular” soap and that does excellent job on brushes and sponges. I use a special eye pencil sharpener for my makeup pencils. I got it from a random drug store and so far it has been working great 🙂

    • I think I’m the only one who had negative moments when washing with these soaps. It’s so weird. Everyone loves these soaps to the moon and back and I’m like “okay, they are good but they are not ‘ride or die’ good”. I guess I’m the exception on this thing haha
