September empties

Another month has passed, another bunch of products are finished. This time I used a few mascaras, some skin care items, and some other beauty products which I used on daily basis.

Revlon Powder Blush in the tone 003 Mauvelous

The blush had a darker pink shade with a little shimmer in it. The blush blended well and gave a really nice shade to my cheeks. It stayed on all day without fading. It seemed like it was never going to end but finally, here we are. I bought this blush in October 2015.

Would I repurchase? Yes

Lumene True Mystic Volume mascara

It was a mascara that promised to give mystic volume, hence the name. In reality, it gave volume, but it was not that mystic. I liked that the brush was rather large. The bristles were in two lengths which helped get the mascara everywhere it was needed. With one swipe I got all my lashes covered. With two-three coats it gave enough volume and length to consider lashes done.

Would I repurchase? Maybe

Clinique High Impact Mascara

This mascara gave my lashes volume and length, it separated and made them look like they were blacker than black. I also liked that my lashes didn’t clump together when I applied more than two coats. The wand was perfect for easy application and got all the lashes with the first stroke. Throughout the days used it, I didn’t notice any flaking or smudging, and it stayed on all day. The mascara came off easily with makeup remover. The wand was perfect for easy application and got all lashes with the first stroke.

Would I repurchase? I would totally buy it but here’s the thing- This was a free sampler and I would accept free sample any day. Would I actually spend 30 bucks on a mascara which I will use three months? Not really.

The Body Shop Seaweed Pore Cleansing Facial Exfoliator

This has been my Holy Grail product since May of 2015. It cleansed my pores, smoothed my skin, removed all dead skin cells, and it smelled good. Plus, it has a really nice design and it was easy to use. Also, it kept zitastrophes under control if there had been any. I mean, what else would you want from a facial exfoliator?

Would I repurchase? Yes

The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil

I used this on the most furious zitastrophies to fight them. It also helped immensely on mosquito bites and cold sores. I don’t know how it is in other countries, but in Estonia, there were a lot of mosquitos this summer. The oil was a perfect partner in crime to kill those stubborn bumps. With few days the pimples and bites started disappearing. I applied it with a q-tip on problematic spots through the day/evening on previously cleansed skin.

The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Shower Gel

The scent of the green tea range was light, fresh, and perfect to use during spring and summer. I used it during my morning showers. Since it had a nice refreshing scent, it helped to wake me up even on the mornings where I could only think of getting back to bed. The shower gel was soap-free and gentle on skin.

Would I repurchase? Yes

Turbliss Firming And Enlivening Body Oil

I used it every day after my morning shower. It absorbed quickly on the damp skin. I didn’t have that oily feeling after, and that meant I could get dressed after a minute or two after using it. The scent of the product was herby and a bit spicy. It left a light scent on the skin which disappeared within ten minutes. It made my legs smoother and I didn’t feel problematic areas so well under my hand like before. In appearance, I didn’t see any difference. What I did notice was that my skin remained moisturised a day after I used the oil.

Would I repurchase? Yes

Marc Anthony Oil Of Morocco Argan Oil Shampoo

The shampoo was sulfate free and infused with argan oil. The scent was light, rather freshly sweet, and not overpowering. The shampoo lathered up well. There was so much nice smelling foam and I loved it. Rinsing the shampoo was easy. I was afraid it would take twice as long as usual, but I was wrong. I guess because of the lighter consistency of the foam, it rinsed off like any other light shampoo. On the tube it says the shampoo deeply cleanses while restoring, protecting and nourishing hair. It revives shine and protects color.

Would I repurchase? Yes

Maybelline Express Nail Polish Remover

It had almond extract and I could sense it too in the smell. Of course, in spite of it, it still had quite a strong nail polish remover scent. The nail polish remover did a really good job. I had no problem removing any kind of nail polish without putting too much effort into it. Well, not any kind of nail polish. I still had to go over a sparkly nail few times before I got everything off of that. If you are into manicures, that isn’t news to you.

Would I repurchase? Yes

  1. You used up an entire blush in a year’s time?!! 😮 Did you use ONLY this blush for the whole time? I just can’t wrap my brain around that one. But bravo – well done!
So great that most of your products you’d repurchase. I agree, no point to ever buy a Clinique mascara since they give it out for free like water – at one point I had 10 Clinique mascara samples, I ended up giving them away since I didn’t love the formula.

    • Yes, I used it up! I didn’t know it was a big thing because almost everyone who see it, comment the empty blush. It starts to feel like used up blush is a miracle 😂😄🙈 I used it almost every day. Unless it was a makeup look that needed peachier tone in which case I used my Fratboy blush 😊
Here, unfortunately, getting a mascara tester is rarer than a solar clips. I got it in last October. Before that, I got their free example in 2011 or somewhere there. I love the mascara but 30 bucks is clearly way too much.

    • Yes, I did! I used it almost every day and so it went 🙈 I try to keep powdery products minimal as possible because one poowder/blush/highlight/eyeshadow palette lasts for such a long time.
