Today I am going to talk about a makeup look I created with MAC eyeshadow trio with Threesome. Without further ado, let’s get started.
First of all, a few words about the eyeshadow trio. The pan has three different shades next to each other. One side is a rich berry color and in the center is a beautiful shimmery copper gold shadow. The very last color is a rich burgundy.
Without a primer the shadows aren’t as pigmented as I am used to with high end products. Luckily they are buildable, so not much is lost there.
One day I was browsing my makeup drawer and I realised that I hadn’t tried anything new lately. So I took the MAC trio and did a nice look for the end of summer parties.
The first step I applied The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso BB Serum Inside. I built it up to full coverage. Since I am fair skinned, it suited me well. The BB serum is formulated with shiso, vitamin C and liquorice which helps to soothe hyperpigmentation and skin tone.
For setting my BB cream, I used Catrice Cosmetics All Matt plus Shine Control Powder in the tone 025 Sand Beige. On the package it said that it is long lasting, ultra-fine, shine control powder with light-reflecting pigments for a satin-matt and even complexion. It also promises to last up to twelve hours. I haven’t used it for too long to have a strong opinion about the powder. So far I am not complaining.
For the blush I used my old favourite Revlon blush in the tone 003 Mauvelous. It is almost gone too, so you can tell, I really like it. The blush has darker pink shade with a little shimmer in it. You can read about it more in my older blog post entitled “My Top 5 products past month”.
As a highlighter I used The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer. You can read about it more in my older blog post entitled “My Top 5 products past month”.
On my eyes I used a primer before I applied the eyeshadows. This time I picked L’oreal Paris Magic De-Crease Eyelid Primer in the tone 895. It is a decent primer which does exactly what it is supposed to.
After primer I moved on to do my eyelids with the MAC eyeshadow trio. I used pink tone all over my eyelid as a base colour. Then I added burgundy into the crease and blended it out to the outer corner. On the moving lid, I used the copper golden shade. I applied the golden eyeshadow with a moist brush to make it pop more.
To do my eyelashes I used CoverGirl LashBlast Clump Crusher Extensions Mascara. This is the mascara I have been using most for the past three months. I still have other mascaras from spring too, but this is my go-to product. It curls, separates, adds a bit of volume, and makes my eyes pop. It’s a good mascara but nothing too impressive.
I also decided to draw a little wing on my eyes to make my eyelashes look fuller. For that I used The Curve eyeliner by NYX. I wrote a little review about it too. You can read it here.
On my brows I used the Maybelline Browdrama Pro Palette. It has eyebrow gel, powder and highlighter for the under brow area to define the line better. This time I used only the powder.
For my lips I chose NYX Matte Lipstick in the tone Merlot. It is a beautiful plum red shade with a cool undertone. It is more like a cool dark pink on the lips with a hint of red. It goes well with this look, don’t you think?

Wow! You hit major pan on The Balm Mary-lou Manizer 😀👍 I rarely hit pan on powder products especially cheek products as they tend to have large pan sizes. 😂😂 Do you use them everyday? How long did you use it to hit pan? I have only hit pan on an eyeshadow shade😅 But it’s so satisfying to see the pan showing up. I feel somewhat accomplished Lol 😂😂 Btw gorgeous look! 😍💖

Yes, I use them quite often. I use the blush and highlighter on every workday. During weekend I don’t always wear makeup. I began using Mary -Lou in September 2015, and the blush in October 2015. I don’t remember when I hit the pan. I think for the blush it was in May maybe, for highlighter in June? I don’t remember that so well.
I like using products up! Then I know for sure that my money didn’t go to waste 😁
Also, thank you! 💕😘

Oh I see 😁 So you have to use them almost a year to hit major pans. Okay.. I will try to use them almost every single day and hope I can hit pan on them soon 😆😆 You’re welcome and thank you 💕
