During summer I usually don’t wear a lot of makeup. That is all because summer days tend to be hot. No one likes when their foundation melts off their face, and I am no different. Unless I have an evening event to attend, my daily makeup is light. In this post you will see what products I have been using the most in the past few months.
The Body Shop Instaglow Bright Glow CC Cream
I use it on its own or under a powder. It gives my complexion a healthier smooth look. The finish is silky and matte, which I really like. I also noticed how it slightly evened out a few redder spots. Since it has 20 SPF, I don’t have to worry about protecting my skin from the sun when I wear this. I did a full review on the CC cream few weeks ago. You can read it here.
NYX HD Studio Finishing Powder
The powder gives a matte, luminous glow. I have quite oily skin and sometimes it can get shiny throughout the day. With this powder I don’t have to worry, It keeps my skin’s shininess at bay without a problem. During the summer, it is a big plus.
The Maybelline Browdrama Pro Palette
You can’t go out without brows, right? For doing my brows I use the Browdrama palette. It has eyebrow gel, powder and highlighter for the under brow area to define the line better. I mostly use only powder. It is a really easy palette to use, even for beginners.
The Balm Fratboy blush
Pink coral tone is a perfect addition to create a healthy rose flush on my cheeks. The blush is well pigmented and I need to use very little to get the result I want. It is perfect for summer days.
The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter
Like the blush, it is well pigmented, and with a small amount on your brush you go a long way. Plus, the highlighter and the blush stay on all day, so it’s twelve hours, (at least), worry free healthy glow.
The Body Shop Cocoa Butter Lip Care Stick
To have a chapstick in your makeup bag is rather self explanatory. It moisturises lips. Chapstick is something I can’t live without.
Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor in the tone 630HD Seduction
It is a beautiful taupe shade which goes with almost every makeup look. In it’s taupe peachy colour it is also perfect for “naked” days when you don’t want to wear much makeup, but still want some colour on your face.
The Balm Nudetude eyeshadow palette
It is a palette with twelve eyeshadows. The colours range from white, pink to copper, burgundy and black. Few shadows are with a matte finish, some metallic, and some bit shimmery. I tend to use more brownish tones with combined light pink ones. For me, the finish look is often unusual because I mostly prefer stronger tones on my eyes.
CoverGirl LashBlast Clump Crusher Extensions Mascara
This is the mascara I have been using most for the past few months. I still have other mascaras from spring too, but this is my go-to product. It curls, separates, adds bit volume and makes my eyes pop. Only bad thing is that it isn’t as black as I wish it to be. It is like Maybelline Lash Sensational´s younger sister. The Covergirl mascara is almost like Lash Sensational while not being it at all. I mean, it’s a good mascara but nothing too impressive. I can already say, I won’t purchase it again.
