Anyone who knows me well, knows I have chronic foot problems. I suffer from unexplainable foot cramps. I haven’t found the reason, so for now the only possibility for me is to learn to live with them. The reason I am telling you this is because I found a foot bath salt which contains magnesium salts and looks good on the shelf.
The biggest star of the foot bath is magnesium sulfate. Magnesium sulfate is a well known salt, which relieves muscle tension and relaxes tired feet. It is also a great help for people who have stronger foot odor since the salt is a neutraliser.
The second ingredient is menthol and peppermint essential oil. Menthol and peppermint essential oils are soothing and calming for tired feet. Plus, it will help clear your nose if you have a cold.
The product itself looks like coarse grain salt. It dissolves easily in warm bath water, although you might want to rinse the tub after doing a foot bath. A light layer stays on the sides of the tub.
The smell of the bath salt is on a stronger side. As I said before, the menthol helps clear breathing passages during a cold. The menthol scent reminds me of classical cold winters and northern countries.
I usually do a foot bath after long days of being active. My feet get stressed easily so the foot bath is a blessing. I use boiling almost too hot water and two teaspoons of bath salt. I like my foot bath water too hot so it stays warmer longer. The menthol in the formula makes my feet feel cold while still being in hot water. The sensation is contrasting but pleasant.
After the foot bath my feet are much more relaxed and less tired. It also brings a really good night sleep.
I also like the design of the jar. The font is nice and elegant. I think it looks good even as a bathroom accessory element.
