May empties

During May I finished five products. Two of them are in the category “shower”, and three in “makeup”. So, without further ado, let’s get into the basket.

Shower products

Fuji Green Tea Body Scrub – It was a gel like body scrub. From the looks it was quite pretty. The gel was almost transparent light green and the scrubbing particles were dark green. For the eye, it was a beautiful sight. I would say, it looked very springy.

The body scrub was a light one. It scrubbed the skin gently without irritating it at all. After the shower, my skin was soft and smooth. I personally prefer stronger scrubs (like The Body Shop Olive body scrub) but this was also nice for a change.

I really liked the smell of the scrub too. At first I wasn’t a fan, but when I used it for the second and third time, it grew on me. The scent was fresh. It reminded me of a cool but sunny day on the beach next to a spring flower field. It would be perfect for morning showers during the summer time.

Would I repurchase? Yes
The Body Shop Shea Shower Cream – I got this from The Body Shop’s christmas calendar in December. I liked the smell of the product, it was divine. I knew I will love the smell since I kind of like all shea scented products.

Coming to the product itself, I was bit disappointed of the ability to lather. I know it is a shower cream but I needed to use more product than I was willing, to get enough foam.

Another thing which surprised me, was the fact that it didn’t moisturise. I had to use a moisturiser after the shower. I assumed, it will do the moisturising for me since it was a shower cream. It wasn’t a downside for me though. I am used to moisturising my body after a shower, so it didn’t make a big difference to me.

Would I repurchase? No

Makeup products

The Body Shop Lip Liner in the tone Clover Pink – I finished it so well that when it was short enough, the insides fell out. It had a softer formula and was really easy to apply to your lips. The pencil defined and created a good base for lipstick.

Would I repurchase? Yes

Covergirl Outlast Stay Luminous – I used the tone 810 Classic Ivory. This was actually one shade too light for me, but I could make it work with the help of bronzer. It gave me a dewy finish which I fixed with a good powder. I kind of started to like it in the end but overall, this foundation wasn’t for me.

Would I repurchase? No

Byphasse Makeup remover wipes – These were the cheapest makeup wipes I found from my local supermarket. I needed them to remove fallouts and clean hands while I was doing my makeup. Occasionally I used them to remove light layer of makeup from my face too. That happened usually in middle of day when I knew I wasn’t going out again, and I was too lazy to take my makeup off properly. They were alright but nothing too special.

Would I repurchase? Yes
