Travel Makeup Bag

Today I am going to show you what’s in my travel makeup bag. If you are secretly nosy about what other people carry around their makeup bags, you’ll like this post. If you are openly nosy about what other people carry around their makeup bags, you’ll also like this post. Now, since we already stated those two facts, let’s get into it.

travel all

If you are anything like me, then you love buying new makeup when travelling. That is the reason why I try to travel light when it comes to makeup. I have no reason in taking a mascara with me when I know I am going to buy a new one when I reach my destination.

Coming back to the contents of the makeup bag, the first must-have thing is chapstick. Currently I use The Body Shop Cocoa Butter Lip Care Stick.

The chapstick, it is soft and smooth on my lips. It glides on easily and leaves a slightly shiny finish. The chapstick is infused with cocoa butter, which is well known good moisturiser.

I use The Body Shop Smoky 2 in 1 Gel Liner to go over my brows. I use a light hand to make sure the gel will only touch my brow hair. This is a perfect natural brow product. I also use it to draw a line on the top of my upper lashes, and a bit into the crease. I use my finger to smudge it out, creating the illusion of darker eyelids without adding eyeshadow. It makes eyes pop more.

Next thing which is always part of my travel makeup bag, is Artistry essentials Balancing Skin Care System Mini Travel Set. In the set there are three little containers with all steps to do my morning routine.

artistry

Balancing cleaner –  It removes impurities and prepares skin for the day. I also use it as a makeup remover in the evenings. It has the consistency of a gel and I only need to use a drop to get my face clean. Depending on the layer of makeup on my skin, it lathers more or less. After, my skin feels fresh and clean.

Balancing toner – This is the second step after cleansing my face. Since it is a two phase product, it needs shaking up before applying it to a cotton pad. The toner has a matte finish and keeps my skin’s oil production under control.
Balancing lotion – It is the third step after cleansing and toning. The lotion keeps my skin shine free almost all day if I decide to have a no makeup day
In the makeup category the three superstars are powder and blush.

Revlon blush in the shade 003 Mauvelous – The blush has darker pink shade with a little shimmer in it. It seems like I use blushes for ages. It feels like they never end. That is the reason I usually don’t buy a new blush on my trips. Currently I have three blushes and I am already stressed out.

H&M Pressed Powder in the shade Cream – It is a nice powder. The powder does it’s job and stays on quite well. The tone is also a match for me. It is my travel powder. The packaging is thin and doesn’t take much space.

Ecotools Mini Brush Set – This is self explanatory. I need brushes to apply (new) makeup. These are in a mini size.
