On the 23th of March The Body Shop gave me Tea Tree 3-in-1 Wash.Scrub.Mask to try, and review. I stepped forward to this assignment with excitement and great expectations.
Looks
With the matte finish the tube looks sleek. The lid opens without effort, and even with wet hands it is easy to open. This is a good thing because I never dry my hands between moistening my face, and applying product to it.
The product itself has a really light pastel green tone. I could see the little scrubbing particles too. The consistency is creamy, and during application it spreads nicely on my skin.
The smell of the product is fresh. It is quite similar to the rest of the tea tree products but not so strong. I would say it has a rather mild fresh scent.
Depending whether you wish to wash, scrub, or mask, the amount of needed product is different.
Wash
As it says on the tube, you can use it three ways.
In order to use it as a wash, you just have to apply it on your face, rub it gently and rinse off. It cleanses my face gently while removing a light to medium layer of makeup. If you should wear heavy makeup, I do recommend to remove most of your makeup with a facial wipe or a moistened cotton pad before using the product.
Scrub
To use the product as a scrub, apply it to previously cleansed skin. The scrubbing particles in the product are smaller and less densely divided than other products that are only used as a scrub. Despite this, the product is still a good scrubber. On the skin it is gentle while doing its job. I have been using it maybe more often than I should, but I haven’t noticed any irritation or dry patches.
Mask
As with any other mask, you should apply it only on cleansed skin. I left it on for seven-nine minutes. Within that time the mask dried up on patches where I applied light layer. On areas where I applied thicker area, the mask didn’t dry through.
It was easy to remove the mask with a makeup remover sponge. After the mask my skin was soft and smooth. Like with any other mask, I used a face cream after. I applied Drops of Youth, Youth Cream, as a moisturiser. Those two products together gave me healthy glow. I am more of a clay mask girl, but I can see myself using it few times a month.
Conclusion
The product lived up to my great expectations. In fact, it actually can replace two products from my current evening routine. When using the Tea Tree 3-in-1 Wash, I don’t have to have a separate cleanser and scrubber. If I should compare it with the Tea Tree wash and toner, which I reviewed here, I can say this is more of a gentle product. It didn’t dry my skin after using it every day, twice a day. This product also has milder scent.
Good/Sad
Good:
- Good scent
- Nice sleek packaging
- Versatile product
- You can open the lid with wet hands
- Gentle enough to use it every day without side effects
Sad:
- If you are looking for a stronger scrub, this is not for you
- Slightly tingles on areas where skin is irritated because of zits or cold
- I wish it also came in a mini size tube

This sounds amazing, I love the idea of 3 in 1! Although I do prefer a scrubbier scrub! xx

It’s what I would call a lazy person scrub lol. I can wash my face and in a second decide to scrub it too. It’s a really convenient product 😊

I’d probably only use this as a mask – I don’t like using a scrubbing product on my face, it irritates it.

It is a milder scrubber than scrubbers which are only meant to scrub. You can always ask for a sampler and try it out. Maybe you will even like it 😊

had mno idea about this one! yes, I’d use it as a mask as well but on certain points of my face if that makes sense! tea tree is rather harsh on my sensitive skin! 🙂 xx, Annie | Annie’s Beauty

As a mask it can be harsh for a sensitive skin, but as a wash I think it would suit well. It takes away the excessive oiliness from skin.
