March Favourites

This month, once again, I don’t have many new favourite products. I will mention a few which I have been loving this month. If you have read my blog recently, you have already heard me “talking” about them.

L’Oreal Studio Line Volume Spray – I’ve been using this spray every time I have curled my hair. It helps to maintain the curls all day. Usually the curls are there the next day too, but of course, not as good. I have been using this with my bobby pin hairdos too. It helps to stop pins moving through the day. It has quite a nice smell. The scent isn’t anything fabulous, but it is not repulsive. So that is a win for me.

L’Oreal False Lash Wings in the tone Black – This mascara gives a really nice curve without having to curl my lashes. It is pigmented and stays on all day. The formula is rather liquidy and wet. On the first week I had troubles applying it without smudging it everywhere, thanks to my perfect clumsiness. On the second week, I think the formula got a bit thicker, and since then it is a really easy mascara to work with. I have been using it on a daily basis, and there has been only few days when it has flaked. I probably caused the flaking by touching my eyes. You shouldn’t touch your eyes. It’s bad for you. I mean, think of all the bacteria you are spreading to yourself.

Drops of Youth™ Youth CreamThe texture of the cream is soft, and airy. It puts me in mind of a whipped egg yolk. It is easy to apply on the skin  with the little spatula. I don’t suggest dipping your fingers into any cream because of the possibility of contamination. At least I feel uncomfortable if I think of scooping face products on my skin with my fingers.

The smell of the cream is fresh. When I close my eyes and breathe in the scent, springtime comes to mind.

Tea Tree Oil – I use this on the most furious zitastrophies to fight them. The oil is a perfect partner in a crime to kill those stubborn bumps. With few days the pimples start disappearing.

I apply it with a q-tip on problematic spots through the day/evening on previously cleansed skin.

I hope you enjoyed this post. If you have any questions or comments, don’t hesitate to let me know.

  1. Sometimes “old” favourites are the best – these are tried and true products! I especially like repurchased items – then you KNOW it’s a fantastic item. 🙂
I found the L’Oreal mascara to flake a bit on me too – but yes, it’s a very nice formula overall.
I’ll have to go to Body Shop to play around with that Drops of Youth Cream – the texture sounds intriguing!

    • You should definitely check the Youth Cream out. It suits my skin so well. The cream moisturises without making my skin oily.
The mascara flakes when I touch my eyes. Otherwise it stays put. 😊
