In March I managed to finish some full size products and two samplers. If you have been reading my blog for a while, you will see some products which are probably already familiar. I finished some old goodies and some new discoveries. Without further ado, let’s get into it.
Revlon Colorstay Concealer in the tone 02 Light Pale – I loved these concealers. They were smooth, applied nicely and stayed put all day. The tone was a perfect match for my skin in the sense that it lightened my under eye area. I could also cover all my blemishes and zits with them. They were also ones of my Top 5 Products.
Would I repurchase? Yes!
The Body Shop Loose Face Powder in the shade 02 – I bought it in May. Then, after a few months, I forgot about it. I rediscovered it few months back. You can read about it here. It was a nice powder which held my foundation in place. I loved that it also gave a nice healthy glow if I applied it straight to my face.
Would I repurchase? Probably not. I am not a fan of loose powders.
The Body Shop Drops of Youth™ Bouncy Sleeping Mask – I used this mask since the 2rd of May 2015. I know it because on that day I had a huge Body Shop haul. During that time I didn’t have a beauty blog so I just uploaded the picture of all the products to my personal IG. I used it religiously every evening. The mask was smoothing, refreshing, and replenishing, and all that while I was sleeping. While using the mask, I had to pay attention not to apply too much of the product on my face. The mask had a thick consistency and a small drop covered half of my face. Applying too much of the product on my skin ended with having most of it on my pillow later. So, if I kept that in my mind, I was golden.
Artistry Essentials Balancing Lotion – This was a part of my morning routine. I used it as a day cream. It disappeared into my skin quickly, leaving rather matte finish. It was my go to day cream for years. I might go back to it if I should feel nostalgic.
Would I repurchase? Not now, because I am using Youth cream as a day cream. I would maybe in the future if I should need it.
Beautycycle Make-Up Remover Towelettes – These weren’t the best makeup remover wipes I have used, but they weren’t too bad either. They claimed to remove even waterproof mascara. I would say that they couldn’t even completely remove mascara that wasn’t waterproof. If I leave that fact out, they were decent makeup wipes.
Would I repurchase? They come in two-packs. I still have the second pack.
Simple Kind To Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes – I had heard about the Simple brand so many times from Youtubers I´ve subscribed to, that when I saw them on the shelf at the Department store I almost squealed. Almost. I was really excited to try these and I wasn’t disappointed. They removed makeup gently and left my skin feeling fresh. The best thing about these was, I could remove my eye makeup with them. They didn’t make my eyes sting afterwards, which was a big plus. I usually used makeup wipes right after I get home. I take most of the makeup off with them and before bed I go through my evening routine.
Would I repurchase? Yes!
Artistry Essentials Eye & Lip Makeup Remover – I have lost count how many times I have finished this product in the past three years. This is my holy grail makeup remover. It was a two phase system, so it needed a bit of shaking before applying it to the cotton pad. It contained skin soothing aloe vera, chamomile, and oat extract. In my experience, this makeup remover left my skin a bit greasy but it wasn’t too bad. I´ve talked about the product in the posts ´Evening Routine´.
Would I repurchase? Yes.
The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Body Wash – It was good like any other The Body Shop shower gel. It lathered up well, smelled nice, and left me squeaky clean.
Would I repurchase? I have a full size of this from Christmas 2015. I actually have full gift set of this range.
Lush The Comforter Shower Cream – I was in love with this fresh, sweet black currant scent. This shower cream was a win for me! It smelled divine, it cleansed my skin well, and after my shower I had that squeaky clean feeling. I can even look the other way to the fact that it didn’t create too much foam when lathering it up. If you have followed my blog for a while, you might know I love shower gels which create a lot of foam. Of course this was a shower cream, so I really can’t hold that against it. I also should mention the foam was light purple with a magenta undertone.
Would I repurchase? Yes, if I should run out of shower gels. So it should be in June 2017.
The Body Shop Vitamin E Lip Care SPF 15 – It was a basic chapstick with vitamin E. It softened lips, stayed on a long time, and smelled good. The product was easy to apply on the run. It was one of my Work Essentials.
Would I repurchase? Yes, I would when I run out current chapstics. I have about three of different ones.
Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Touche Eclat (Illuminating Foundation) in the shade B40 Beige – I should start off with saying that it wasn’t my shade. The saleslady just didn’t have any other tones to give me so this had to do the trick. Now, in spite of it being the wrong tone, I liked the foundation. It was light weight, while giving almost full coverage. The foundation gave me a nice healthy glow. I also loved the smell of the product.
Would I repurchase? This was a free sampler. Would I purchase full size? Probably not because I can’t see myself spending 60 dollars on a foundation.
Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Encre De Peau (Fusion Ink Foundation) in the shade B30 Beige – Almost everything I said in the previous paragraph, applies here. It was in a wrong shade because the saleslady didn’t have my tone. The foundation was lightweight with matte finish. I wore it a short time, but those few hours it looked nice.
Would I repurchase? This was a free sampler. Would I purchase full size? Probably not, because again, I can’t see myself spending 60 dollars on a foundation.
I hope you enjoyed this post. If you have any questions or comments, don’t hesitate to let me know.
