The Body Shop Haul February 2016

At the beginning of the week I got a message from The Body Shop about their discount campaigns. As you probably guessed already, I couldn’t pass up the chance to buy myself some new skincare products. Plus, my favourite saleslady was there, who makes the shopping and choosing new products to try so much easier and enjoyable.

This time I decided to try out their Tea Tree line and few new arrivals.

I chose the skincare essentials from the Tea Tree line. I eyed them for a while but since I could buy it with a 30% discount, I took the opportunity.

Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash – It promises to remove excess oil without over-drying the skin. Right now I can say it removes impurities well. The facial wash leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean.

Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner – It is almost like a two phase toner. Before using it, I need to shake it so that the active particles will mix up with the liquid. Then, I use it as a second step after the facial wash. If I have little scratches on my face, it burns slightly but it is almost expected.

Tea Tree Oil – This is heavy artillery to fight with any zits or blemishes on skin. It is soothing on the skin but at the same time it promises to dry zits out. I use it on bigger red zitastrophies. After a few days, they will be gone.

Tea Tree Pore Minimiser – This is a repurchase. I used it before from November to the end of January. During that time the product did wonders with the pores on my cheeks. I noticed after a month how much more healthier my complexion was. It suits well as a base for makeup too. On the tube it says “Pores look smaller, skin feels purer. Smoothes, primes and instantly mattifies.” I can confirm, it does exactly what it is suppose to do. It is also perfect to use as a day cream since it keeps my skin´s oil production at bay.

About the Tea Tree line I will do a more thorough review in a few weeks. Currently I have been using the above mentioned products every day so I could give you a better overview on them later.

Drops Of Youth™ Bouncy Sleeping Mask  – This is another repurchase. I’ve been using my current jar from last May. It is almost empty so I had to buy another one. I use it as the last step in my evening skincare routine. It is a leave on night mask which moisturises, and makes complexion clearer while I sleep. I talked about the mask in my Evening routine.

Drops Of Youth™ Youth Cream – I first tried it from a little sampler package and I fell in love. It is very airy cream, soft, and moisturising. The cream has subtle fresh scent. A big plus is that it disappears into the skin quickly. I use it now as a morning cream.

Early-harvest raspberry shower gel – It is a limited edition range. There were only few bottles left on the shelf, so of course, I had to buy them. It had such a good fresh raspberry scent. When I smelled it, it took me right back to a warm summer day when I was eating fresh raspberries right from the bush. The shower gel is soap free so even people with more sensitive skin should be able to use it.

Strawberry Shower Gel – It is a soap free shower gel which lathers up really nicely. The gel contains real strawberry seed oil, and has a delicious sweet scent.

Almond Hand & Nail Cream – This hand cream is amazing. I’m currently using the tube I got from 24 Happy Days calendar but it is almost gone. I love how moisturising it is, and it smells good. Sometimes I think I apply the cream only to smell the scent.

I hope you enjoyed this post. If you have any questions or comments, don’t hesitate to let me know.

    • Thank you! I plan to do a review about mentioned Tea Tree products in three of four weeks. Right now I’ve been using facial wash and toner since 23th of February twice a day. I can say that the pore minimizer is a wonderful product since I’ve used it before. I won’t give my final opinion about the facial wash and toner right now, but so far I like them.

  2. I love reading your Body Shop posts, I can’t wait to do a post on the Drops of Youth range and can’t wait to try on the overnight mask. Did you find it helped with your skin? Sometimes I think masks don’t. X

    • I’ve been using the overnight mask from May 2015 every night. This was a repurchase because I will be finishing my first jar soon. I would say it has helped my skin a lot. It is so much more moisturised and alive. 🙂
