Rediscovered products

A week back I was cleaning my makeup drawers. While I was rummaging through, I found a few makeup products which were in my everyday use a while back. At some point they got replaced with other products for one reason or another. The weird thing about all this is I actually didn’t have any reason to replace any of them. Now they are in the “active part” of my drawer again.

Revlon Powder Blush –  I have it in the tone 003 Mauvelous. It has darker pink shade and is easily blendable with other products. The blush has a little shimmer in it too. I used it for a while before I began to use The Balm Fratboy blush again.

Pacifica Natural Mineral Coconut Eye Shadow – I have it in the tone Treasure. It is a 100% vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free eyeshadow, which is infused with coconut water for a velvety, cream-like finish. The eyeshadow has a good lasting power. I use it as an eyeshadow base.

The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso BB Serum Inside – It gives medium coverage and stays on all day. Since it has serum inside, it also moisturises my skin. The BB serum is formulated with shiso, vitamin C and liquorice which helps to soothe hyperpigmentation and skin tone. I apply it with my fingers, and not with sponge or brush. With this product I find that I get better result with my fingers because it is rather creamy. It is also concentrated so one little pea sized amount goes a long way.

Bell HYPOAllergenic Skin Camouflage Concealer – It is a creamy four-coloured palette for skin colour correcting. Green is to cover up redness and spider veins. Pink is to conceal dark circles under the eyes. Beige is to conceal, and depending on your skin tone, brightens up some areas of your face. I managed to drop it one day and because of that it is in two pieces. Although- I am not worried about it at all. The clamp keeps the lid on without a problem.

The Body Shop Loose Face Powder – I have it in the tone 02. I began use it again when I changed my foundation. When Revlon Colorstay foundation  was a perfect match for me in all ways, then Covergirl foundation is pretty much a miss. This powder holds the Covergirl foundation in a place. I have used the powder alone too. I love the natural glow it gives to my skin. The powder is light on my face and yet still covers the little discolouring on my skin.

I hope you enjoyed this post. If you have any questions or comments, don’t hesitate to let me know.

  1. I bought the Body Shop BB serum last month during a clearance sale – I was informed they’re discontinuing the White Shiso line. I can’t wait to try it (but sad that I couldn’t repurchase it if I loved it). It’s always good to revisit some forgotten gems in your collection – I’ve learned to do this from my no-buy last year.

    • I’m doing a no-buy in makeup’wise until May. I have enough products to last me another 6 months lol. The bb serum is a good product. I love that it stays on whole day without any problems foundations usually have. Or I’m just using a really good powder. Anyway, I hope you let me know if you like the product. I’m curious now haha
