Top 5 lipsticks autumn/winter 2015/16

As the seasons change, my preferences regarding my lipsticks also change. During the darker days of autumn and winter I prefer deeper toned lipsticks. I reach for dark wine or cherry coloured lipsticks more when falling leaves arrive.

In this post I am going to introduce you my top 5 lipsticks of this season.

L’Oreal Colour Riche Collection Exclusive Red Lipcolor – I have it in the tone 406 Zoe´s Red. It is a dark cherry toned lipstick with a matte finish. It looks good on smooth moisturised lips. The lasting time is decent, although I must reapply the lipstick after eating. Also, like with any other darker lipstick, it is best to wear with lip liner under it.

Rouge Dior Couture Colour Voluptuous Care Lipstick – I have it in the tone Rouge Zinnia. It is a classic red carpet tone. The staying on power is amazing in spite of being rather creamy and moisturising. When I am wearing a lip liner under the lipstick, I do not have to reapply the lipstick after eating or drinking. The colour is deep and rich. It is a really beautiful red tone which is perfect for a night out, or in the office setting.

Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick – I have it in the tone 685 Mulberry. The lip colour glides on easily and is highly pigmented and moisturising. The lipstick is infused with shea, avocado, and aloe butters, as well as anti-oxidant white tea. Since it is a blue based dark pink-red-purple tone, it also makes your teeth look whiter than they actually are. For me it is a nice go-to lipstick for everyday use.

Elf Moisturizing Lipstick– I have it in the tone “Ravishing Rose”. I keep it in my work essentials  makeup bag.  It has a nice smoky mauve colour which works great to replace or fulfill any other worn out lipstick tones throughout the day. I usually don’t take my “morning lipstick” to work with me, so it has to do the trick.

NYX butter lipstick – It is in the tone BLS17 Pops Explosif. It is a creamy and lightweight everyday lipstick. This tone goes mostly with every look. I love that I can wear strong eye makeup and it still looks like a daytime makeup with this lipstick. It glides on easily, moisturises my lips, and with lip liner, stays on for a decent amount of time without needing to reapply it.

I hope you enjoyed this post. If you have any questions or comments, don’t hesitate to let me know.
