We all have our own little routines which we go through on a daily basis, whether it is related with morning coffee or beauty rituals. In this post I will talk about my evening routine.
Every night, before I go to bed, I take my makeup off and sometimes do a deep cleanse on my skin. It all depends on my mood and how long my day has been. On some days I wear lighter makeup, while on others I have full makeup on all day. But no matter what, my evening routine is still the same.
First step: I remove eye and lip make up with Artistry Essentials Eye and Lip Makeup Remover. It´s a two phase system, so it needs bit of shaking before applying it to cotton pad. It contains skin soothing aloe vera, chamomile, and oat extract. In my experience, this makeup remover leaves skin bit greasy but it isn’t too bad.
Second step: For removing blush, powder, foundation and other skin makeup, I use Artistry Essentials Balancing Cleanser. This is my all time favorite face cleanser. It has the consistency of a gel and I only need to use a drop to get my face clean. Depending on the layer of makeup on my skin, it lathers more or less. After, my skin feels fresh and clean.
Second and a half step: Two or three times in a week I like to scrub my face. For that I use The Body Shop Pore-Cleansing Facial Exfoliator. It’s perfect for combination/oily skin. On the tube it says “oil-balancing polish to deep cleanse pores and reveal smooth skin”, and I have to agree with it. After using it, my skin is softer, smoother and in every way cleaner. One of my holy grail products.
Third step: After cleanser, comes Artistry Essentials Balancing Toner. Since it is also a two phase product, it needs shaking up before applying it to a cotton pad. The toner has a matte finish and keeps my skin’s oil production under control.
Fourth step: Last step of my evening routine is applying a moisturizing night mask. For that I use The Body Shop Bouncy Sleeping Mask from the Drops Of Youth series. The mask is smoothing, refreshing, and replenishing, and all that while I am sleeping. It is perfect for a rather lazy person like me to take care of moisturizing my skin without having to put much thought in it. Although, while using this, I have to pay attention not to apply too much of the product on my face. The mask has a thick consistency and a small drop will cover half of my face. Applying too much of the product on my skin ends with having most of it on my pillow later. So, if I keep that in my mind, I will be golden.
I hope this was interesting, and if you have any comments and/or questions, don’t hesitate to let me know your thoughts.
